A storm-damaged pine over a neighbouring roof
A tree does not have to stand on your plot to affect your property. In this job, a pine on neighbouring land extended through overhead cables and over a roof. Following storm damage, a broken branch needed attention before it could damage the property below.

The pine stood on the neighbouring plot, with its canopy extending towards the building and overhead cables.
A broken branch in a complicated setting
The damage was visible within the crown: split timber and a broken limb among the remaining branches. The wider setting mattered just as much. The tree reached over the boundary, towards the roof and through the line of overhead cables.
This was a job with more to consider than the damaged branch alone. The surrounding property and the position of the canopy were central to how the work was approached.

Working from within the tree
We climbed the pine to carry out the work at height. Our focus was a low-impact approach: taking weight from the tree while avoiding damage to the property and its surroundings.
The photographs show both the close-up damage and the relationship between the tree, the cables and the building. Together, they explain why this job needed careful attention to its setting.
Reducing the immediate concern
We were able to take substantial weight from the tree and complete the work without damage to the surrounding property. The pine was retained, with the work directed at the storm-damaged situation rather than removing the whole tree.
For the property owner, the important result was addressing the damaged branch and the weight above the roof while looking after the space around it.
When a tree reaches beyond its boundary
Photographs of a damaged limb tell only part of the story. When you enquire about a similar job, include views of the whole tree, nearby buildings, overhead cables and access to the property. Knowing where the tree stands in relation to those features helps us understand the work being requested.
Anchor Point carries out technical climbing, pruning, reductions and storm-clearance work for private properties, estates and commercial clients. We can discuss the particular tree and the setting before agreeing the next step.
